Avoid visiting SS3
Mood:  on fire

Avoid coming to SS3 at Petaling Jaya as robberies cum snatch thief is rampant over here. Just evening, sister to the father of the baby that my mom is babysitting was robbed in front of the bus stop. She just got off from the bus when a car stop and a man got down pretending to asked for direction. Caught off guard the man tried to snatch her bag but (a big mistake) she tried to fend off the snatch thief and didn’t want to give the bag. The man just punch her few times in the face until she fell and the man together with her bag got back into the car and sped off. There were of course cars passing by this main road but no one came to her aid maybe fearing for their own life since nowadays snatch thief or robbers are much more daring and armed with weapons. She was given outpatient treatment and I heard she had stitches near her cheek due to the punches that the no good son of a bitch gave. This is not the first case as there were two snatched thief cases that happen just few houses away from my home and it happen duration of 1 month in between. Another snatch thief case happen on another housing road at SS3 two weeks back, meaning to say statistic…..snatch thief happen in SS3 like in a weekly basis.

It happen in SS3 quite often maybe due to the fact that it’s a strategic location with 2 main road exiting to LDP and direct leading to Federal Highway. Another reason is maybe because these sons of a bitch migrated here from SS2 or maybe even from as far as since the police presents there has been step up. How I wish someone would just plant a remote controlled detonate bomb that is enough to cause serious injuries to those son of a bitch, waiting at one bus stop just to let them snatch away that bag aka bomb! If this were to happen it will anyway cause another issue which would be human right since they are human. Another better idea is to give a certain amount of commission for each snatch thief or robber that police personal caught in order to motivate them to catch more of these bastards! Yeah….this is a good idea and tax payers money well spend, rather than spending tax payers money in building X palace!

Anyway just avoid coming to SS3 if possible and do give what those bastards want rather than injuring yourself. Oh….if any foreigner is reading this, next year is visit X country year 2007. Avoid coming into this country as it is a country that has mottos like “Anything can happen”, “Rampant snatch thief and robbers”, “Sudah biasa (very common in English) will be said by the police force if u make any snatch thief report”, “Unless your some big shot, the police will not bother”. Yes…believe me, these are some mottos which are very biasa to be heard here. Avoid coming to country X next year! Its for your own safety, spend your vacation and money wisely on another country if you want to go for a holiday!

Colleague will be leaving
Mood:  sad
Now Playing: Five For Fighting - Two Lights

My senior colleague who is also our Sifu is leaving the company to join another company which much better prospect. It’s sad that he is leaving as he is our most experience colleague who is always helpful and stay low profile. After he leave us, maybe end of December, hell will break lose! Aunty will be showing off her bitchyness, ordering us around even though she has no quality troubleshooting skills. Next year more new user will join our client company that we are base in and more trouble will await us since aunty is the cause for most of the trouble.

To add to my suffering, I will be taking my Sifu’s role which is to support President’s IT issues including the ones in his home. Urghhh….sucks big time! If the President is a nice person then I don’t mind, but this President is a pain in the ass type of person. All in all, the most demotivating, stressful, sad, and unbearable thing that await us after my Sifu leave is that bitch aunty!

My first job was lucky as I was working with Getronics under MAS project providing DELL support. Then I always wanted to get into HP and I was so lucky again that I got the job and still with HP. Now after knowing the news that my Sifu is leaving, and aunty will be the only senior there with again….and I stress again….no quality troubleshooting skills and always showing off, I really want to leave HP or maybe request to transfer project! I tell you, if you ever meet aunty and after u know her for 1 week, I can guarantee that you have never met such bitchy person in your life’s history!

Change Switch Failure
Mood:  chillin'
Now Playing: Five For Fighting - The Riddle

Worked on Saturday from 8am to 8pm for a big assignment, which was to change the core switch from Extreme Network to HP in order to integrate the whole thing into one product. 3 more people from HP Wintel team which handle this account came to help dismantle the old core switch. It all started well until glitches starts to creep in. First it was some configuration setting on the switch. After dismantling the old core switch and installing the new HP switch, we encounter some miscommunication which I think was the cause of the failure. Anyway our main network person in charge is based in Japan, so we were guided through the phone for the configuration and installation. The miscommunication part was when he told us to configure the backup switch setting into the core switch for the new switch. I thought to myself, how can you do that when the cabling is set to the backup and lead to different point?! Well, we can’t argue that since the network person in charge is supposed to be the pro while we onsite have no experience in the whole thing. We just followed what he told us to do with no question asked. After all installation had been done according to his guidance off he told us to go for our lunch while he remotely connect to the switch and do the configuration settings.

We went Putrajaya Alamanda for our lunch and here is the funny part….instead of our manager treating us. It was the one of the 3 people from Wintel team treating us, as they said their manager asked one of them to treat us. Before that we did asked our manager who dropped by to have a look on what we were doing whether he wanted to joined us. He happily said “you guys go ahead and enjoy the lunch, I have some emails to reply to”, to us it was just some reason to avoid treating us. Damn stingy manager, for a person who pays is maybe 4 times of my pay and who always talk big not to mention loud as well. We all ignored my manager and off we went to have Pizza Hut. 6 of us had 6 plates of pizzas….2 large pizzas, 2 regular pizza and 2 small pizzas!!! After that we head back to the office and continue on the switch change, and we were so happy that my stingy manager told us that he will be leaving. Bastard just came to tell us to be careful on the old core switch when dismantling since it’s not under HP, used office connection to reply his emails and used the office phone for IDD calls.

Anyway the switch change was stopped and failed since our network person in Japan having trouble locating switches labels within the office building. Reason given was that the blueprint of the office building was quite different than the one we gave him when he asked us to go from office level location to location and provide him with the label on other switches. He asked the change assignment to be stopped and disabled the HP switch. Now currently we onsite are in a very delicate situation as we don’t have any backup switch!!! The backup switched was taken down and replaced with HP switch and we cannot simply up the backup switch after it is taken down. This is all about procedure and authorization from change request management and other different level. Complicated stuff which I choose to ignore for the time being as if anything goes wrong, the network person in charge has to answer them.

We went back to our own onsite office room at about 6pm to chit chat and get together with the new 3 Wintel people, still manage to have a game or two of pool. There goes my day on Saturday, but at least I get one day FTO, get to know some cool HP Wintel friends, ate pizza like a pig. It was an enjoyable day actually since we were joking and cursing about the bastard hahaha…..its a laugh thinking back. We even went joy ride during lunch. Our lunch actually lasted 2 hours ++ hahaha….:P Hell of a fun even when we are worried about the network connection tomorrow!!!

Addiction and Temptation
Mood:  caffeinated
Now Playing: My Chemical Romance - Disenchanted

I have been caffeinated badly because of that stupid box! No, not the box we called it Television but the Nestle beverage making machine. I can’t stop drinking those Nestle products like white coffee, hot choc, cappuccino and etc. I am addicted to the white coffee, and has been paying visit to that box quite frequent on the way to attend a case or back from attending a case. Free things at time doesn’t benefit one when it make one addicted to something that eventually give an end result of someone being zombie like face. Even certain user would ask me why I am so stoned face today. Urghhhh…..

Finally my pool skills have improved tremendously since started playing pool after office hour everyday for the past 3 months. Trashed my senior aka trainer 3 games in a row, woo… hoo…!!! Still thinking whether I should get my own “Q” (referring to the stick which you hit the white pool ball with) The “Q” provided are all not straight, only left 3 straight “Q” out of 10. So many things to purchase with so little money to spend at the end of the month after paying car loan, personal insurance and etc.

Received news today that our onsite work will be getting more hectic as around 200 new users will be joining Ericsson in stages for the next 2 months. Ericsson’s building 3rd floor has been ready and awaiting the transition. We have received 100 units of new HP notebook to prepare for those new users, thus has been preparing at least 10 units of notebook each day. How would I one want of those new notebook! I can’t resist myself and have been molesting every new unit everyday until I am so tempted to have one of them. The one I want most if compare with these 2 models, the HP NC2400 (lightweight machine) and HP NC6400 would be the HP NC6400. Love the widescreen LCD and the sound from the notebook speaker is marvelous. Temptation of a human, nothing can satisfied a human and there is always temptation in a human, always have and always will be!

A trusty umbrella!
Mood:  lucky

Our team went to HP Tower today after work for a very urgent meeting in regards to service desk and us the onsite team to iron out some issues. It was raining heavily while I was on the way to HP Tower but the rained stopped halfway through the journey. I was hoping it won’t be a massive traffic jam and somehow it wasn’t jam at that time which was roughly 5:45pm. It started to rained again after entering SPRINT highway, and continue to rain heavily until one can’t see the road clearly. Finally reached HP Tower and parked at the open air car park just directly besides the building. I was preparing my umbrella when I notice my car shake a bit and I noticed it was caused from the strong wind. After 5 minutes I was thinking the wind shouldn’t be that strong since its partially blocked by the building. How wrong was I when I got down the car with the umbrella trying very hard to stay open from the strong wind! Can sense that the umbrella might any seconds give way and thinking there goes my body soaked wet. I can even fell and notice the umbrella thin steel structure trying to hold it from bending. I was walking to the lobby with all the rain soaking my pants and my back as the umbrella was protecting me from the front. Woo….hoo…. the wind was so strong! Imagine the guards at the lobby were inside the building holding the glass door entrance from opening and closing. Seriously damn freaking scary strong wind accompanied with heavy rain but I did managed to get inside the building to with my pants soaked with rain water! Before that, as I was going enter the glass door, the guard let go his grasp of the glass door handle and the wind just blew it open for me, so I am sure you all can imagine how strong the wind was.

Some of you whom seen me would asked this question: If the wind can blew open a glass door, why didn’t it blew Ryan away? To answer this question, I first need to thank God for protecting me from the wind. Yeap…I am confident that God protected me some how and some way, so thank you God! I would also like to thank the manufacturer of the umbrella which I tested it today, was a really reliable umbrella and the best part was the umbrella was a free gift from somewhere, and I have 2 sets in the car now. A part from my rain soaked pants which can’t be helped with an umbrella that just protect one upper half of the body, the umbrella work wonders. Anyway, I got to the meeting venue in time and started eating before the start of a long meeting which lasted until 9pm. Had great pizzas and great coffee while discussing all the issues that we encountered. The food was the motivation that drives us to have a positive discussion.
